After a poor season in La Liga Real Madrid hit with a new low as they were knocked out of the Copa del Ray after losing to Leganes winning on away goal on the Agg 2-2. Real was 1-0 up in the first leg of CDR quarter-final, but in second leg at there home Javier Eraso scored the first goal of the game and made it 1-1 on aggregate. Just after some time Karim Benzema restored the lead for Real Madrid. Gabriel hit Leganes' winner as the visitors advanced to the semi-final on the away goal rule beating Real Madrid. Without both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale for the game Real was unable to win from their Neighbours. Zinedine Zidane is expected to come under renewed pressure after yet another defeat.
